Visit to Florence inspires American’s unremarkable artistic accomplishments

BOULDER, CO – Saying he was inspired by the artistic tradition of Florence, Italy, American Sam Gordon, during his 2-week long stay in the city, wrote two poems and recorded three riffs on guitar, all of which were mediocre at best.

When asked about his art (if one can even call it that), Gordon had no shortness of words.

“One could say Florence spoke to me. The revolutionary ideas and creations that came from there — especially those of Michelangelo — took me somewhere I had never been before,” he said.

Upon his return to the States, Gordon proudly posted his poems on social media and has reportedly started to dabble in sculpting, going so far as buying a beginner’s kit off Amazon.
