22-year-old American becomes new social media thought leader in Israeli-Palestinian conflict
DALLAS – Melody Harper, a 22-year-old American woman, has become a new and loud voice in the decades-long dispute between Israel and Palestine, using her social media accounts to share her solutions to the conflict.
Despite having no personal ties to the Middle East and no experience traveling there, Harper has seen several documentaries, read a couple books, and has expressed a keen desire to one day visit.
Harper’s frequent posts are often sympathetic to the Palestinian cause, and have received upward of 24 likes on Facebook. One of her Instagram posts reached 38 likes last week, albeit with the help of a long list of hashtags.
(We liked her latest Facebook post, pictured above, just to encourage her well-meaning idealism a bit.)
